We are very excited to have almost completed our first season at the Lake Erie Seaway Trail Center. It has been an amazing year.
We started with our Open House in April. Meghan Farrell, our Events Chair, did an amazing job planning and executing, along with help from the events committee, a fabulous kickoff to the season!
We also launched our 2013 Speaker Series. We had several speakers (Helen Domske- Aug. & Nov., and Bruce Fisher- Sept.) discuss our environment and how to help keep our lakes clean. We kicked off Halloween with a bang when Cameron Daboin from the Greater WNY Paranormal Society came to discuss local area buildings that are haunted. We had over 60 people attend.
At the end of September, we hosted our first annual “FALL” into a Book Author Fair. We had 18 authors from all over WNY attend to network and promote their books. We had children and adults of all ages come to meet these fabulous authors. We have already received MANY applications from authors for next year’s fair.
As we wind down this season we are looking forward to next year when we hope you will enjoy new speakers during our 2014 Speaker Series, our Open House in April, and the 2nd annual author fair in September. We will also have many other events for you to enjoy. Our events committee, again being led by Meghan Farrell, is already hard at work to bring us the greatest events. KUDOS to Meghan and the events committee for ALL of their hard work.
Stay tuned for what we have up our sleeves for our 2014 season!
